Lemmings IKO qualified Instructors can teach kitesurfing from Levels 1 - 3 and follow the standards set by the IKO.  For a detailed explanation of each level please click on the following link:

Lessons are only available to entitled personnel within the BFC community and members of Lemmings.

Courses will run from April until October 2012.

At the end of each course students will be certified with an IKO kiteboarder card showing the level they have reached.  The card is recognised at all IKO affiliated centres world wide showing proof of your level.  Some centres require to see your card when hiring kiteboarding equipment. 

The club offers the following types of courses:

Discovery kiteboarder Program (Level 1)

The Discovery Kiteboarder Program will completed in one day (approx 4 hours) with the aim to get you flying the kite safely including body dragging in the water (elements of Level 2). This is ideal for those who want to give it a try and get wet quickly!!!  Students should be awarded a Level 1 card if successful. Course costs €100 per person.

Intermediate & Independent Kiteboarder Program (Level 2 & 3).

Intermediate & Independent Programs usually take 2-3 days to complete depending upon the wind and previous kiteboarding experience. Students need to complete the Discovery Programme before starting this course.

Intermediate & Independent courses cost €180.

2012 COURSE DATES

IKO Level 1&2 combined courses:

Will be published in March 2012

Combined course fees are  €280 and includes all training, temporary membership and equipment.  Each course will have a maximum of 4 students. On successful completition of the course students will be awarded the appropriate IKO certificate.
